Land for Freedom

When viewed philosophically, the body is a "marker" for the soul. thus, existentially, the identity of an individual stacks on a piece of land. That hollow body without a soul quite similar to empty self wihout soil. A the communal level, land is the embryo birth of the concept of state and nation. technically, we know that asthe territories. Border of a country with other countries is geographic lines, marked with ownership of land. land is not merely a matter of capital that only the Israeli-Palestinian mateial. Conflic dimension associated with the issueof land ownership. In addition to sizure of territory whichhas about geopolitical dimension, the conflict is deep-rooted in the problem existential. In the fighting these lands not only because of the political-strategic considerations, but also about the historical consciouness. Imagination communities of both countries about their nation relied on the country's geographical boundaries. from there then waking consciousness about identity. "From the  land where" they came from will be used as the basis to determine "who" them and "where" they will make historic trip. Awareness of spaceand time together. Therefore, the shift in the determination of the borderof a country will automatically "move" people imajinal awareness about their national identiry.During their stay in the tension of conflict, both Israeli and Paletitinian people are in such a situation paradoks. Existentil awareness and imajinal them about changing thir nationality identiry along the shift of its territorial boundaries. In this context, Israelis tend to experience the "expansion". While the existential and imajinal awarennes about the identity of nationality of the Palestinian people are forced to increasingly "narrow", due to the limits of their territory over by Israel. One of momentum where the limit is expanded Israeli territory in 1967. Through a six-day war, Israel captured the five key areas of the three Arab countires: the West Bank and East Jerussalem from Jordan, Gaza Strip and Sinai from Egypet, and the Golan Heights from Syria. For Israel, this is a great victory, for two reason. First, who sucessfully captured the areas that have significantvalue in the historical imagination of the people of Israel. 1967 war has been "expanded" coverage imajinal Israelis about their country and nation. Secondly, the geopalitical, the success of expanding the territory believed to increased the securityof the people of Israel. Therefore, the total area of Israel, the further around the country to carry out attacks. However, unfortunately, in fact the expansion of territory are not always diametrically with the necessary sense of security. Althoughthe successfulcapture of givn regions in 1967, Israel remains in the horizon threatned by the state around. Untill finally, in 1978, Israel returned the Sinai to Egypt, throught the Camp David agreement. With the release of Sinai, the tension of political relation thaw Cairo-Tel Aviv.

Land is an axistential marker of nation. However, at the same time, the land could become a black hole that crushing existential basis of nation. That is when an existential awareness that relied on land ownership in over territory that is constantly changing either by expanding or narrow. Because, it means that the existential consciouness  continues to be in threatened (the shadow of war). Unless, threatened regarded as an intgral part  of the existential basicof a nation.
