Iwan Fals

Iwan Fals  is the full name Virgiawan Listanto (born in Jakarta, September 3, 1961; is a wing ballads and country singer who became one of Indonesia's living legend. Through his songs, he was 'shooting' the social atmosphere of Indonesian life in the late 1970s until the present, and the life of the world in general, and life own. The criticism of the behavior of a group of people (Wakil Rakyat,Tante Lisa), empathy for marginalized groups (eg ,Siang Seberang Istana, Lonteku), or major disasters that hit Indonesia (or sometimes outside Indonesia, such as Ethiopia) dominate theme songs that brings. However,  Iwan Fals not only sang the songs of his own making but also a number of other creators.Iwan who also was active in sports activities, have earned a National Karate Champion II, IV Karate National Champion 1989, had entered national training and practice karate on campus, STP (High School Publication.) Iwan also briefly became a columnist in several sports tabloid.Iwan Fals charisma of a very large. He is revered by the 'root grass'. Simplicity is a role model to his fans who are scattered throughout the archipelago. Iwan Fals rabid fans even set up a foundation on August 16, 1999, called Yayasan Orang Indonesia or commonly known by the call OI. The foundation accommodate the activities of the fans Iwan Fals. Until now OI branch offices can be found all over the archipelago and some even to foreign countries.
