Eet Sjahranie

Eet Sjahranie, a married man was born in Bandung, February 3, 1952. Her parents gave the name of Riza Sjahranie Zahedi. Almost youngest – the seventh child of eight siblings – small Eet became interested in musical instruments age 5 or 6 years. Naturally, his family did music lovers. Her brothers are kind of a big fan of the band Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, to the BeeGees.  But not for that, little Eet interested in playing guitar, precisely because Koes Plus Eet was interested to learn guitar. “I think exclaimed Yok Koeswoyo see action on the stage,” he said remembering his childhood. Initially he studied guitar with a child who became an interpreter parking in front of her school in East Borneo, where his family resided at the time. After school, he always invites his friends to learn the guitar together. Since then “naturally I taught myself,” he said. The opportunity was not wasted Eet to steal his knowledge. “Fair she teaches a classic song,” he said. His desire grew even more passionate when his parents bought an electric guitar. In contrast he experienced when picking acoustic guitar, with electric guitar he began to know the sound-sound strange. Refrensi music gradually began to grow. “My orientation is no longer heard the songs of Indonesia, but western songs. I think more fun,” said Eet.After arriving to Jakarta in 1978, Eet go to school in College Cikini. Eet know good guitar playing, her school friends who like the band took part High School Band Festival in Jakarta. Not unexpectedly, Eet awarded best guitarist, is Cikini’s Band was ranked second. Time to continue their education in American music. In the land of Uncle Sam, Eet take recording sound engineering workshop in Chillicote, Ohio for three months. Over there, he met many Indonesian musicians, who also was studying music, among others, his old friend Fariz RM and Iwan Madjid, and Ekie Sukarno. Their friendship continued until the ground water. On several occasions, Eet is often invited to the recording.  Eet is also helpful when a project Fariz RM Barcelona album. Its title “E and E”, an abbreviation of Ecky Lamoh and Eet Sjahranie. However, the middle of the road, both these musicians form a band instead. Dawn S. (Drums) and Iwan Xaverius (bass), who early joined them to design the concept albums, was invited to join. Be the name was changed to Edane.
