Tiananmen Square Massacre of 1989 (the Tiananmen Square protests in 1989) is a series of student-led demonstration that took place in Tiananmen Square in Beijing, People's Republic of China, between 15 April and 4 June 1989. The protests are directed against economic instability and political corruption, and then spread into the pro-democracy demonstrations, the unusual thing happened in China is authoritarian. More than 3,000 people died as a result of the actions of the armed forces.Students start the protest in mid-April 1989,triggered the death of Hu Yaobang , general secretary of Chinese Communist Party who resigned . Hu is seen as a liberal-minded and forced to resign from his position by Deng Xiaopeng, an elder leader of a revolution in the Chinese Communist Party who became supreme leader of the People's Republic of China since the past decade of the '70s until the early decades of the 90s, second-generation leader after Mao Zedong. Many people, especially intellectuals, regarded this as an unfair treatment.

The protests began on a small scale, in the form of warnings against Hu Yaobang and called parties renew their official view of Hu. These protests grew after news of the confrontation between students and police spread. At the funeral of Hu, a large group of students gathered in Tiananmen Square and ask for applications at the top, but failed, to meet Prime Minister Li Peng, who is widely regarded as Hu's political rival. Therefore, the students held a strike at university in Beijing. On 26 April 1989, a student accused the People's Daily editor planned chaos. This statement makes the fury of the students, and on April 27, about 50,000 students took to the streets of Beijing, ignoring orders announced by the authorities disbanded and continue to demand the government revoke the declaration. On May 4, 1989, about 100,000 students and workers marched in Beijing to ask the government for free media reform and a formal dialogue between the authorities and representatives of student choice. The government rejected the dialogue, only agreed to talk with members of student organizations appointed by the government. On May 13, 1989, many groups of students occupied Tiananmen Square and start a protest fast, demanding the government withdraw allegations that were written in the People's Daily and began talks with student representatives. Hundreds of students participated in the protest fast and is supported by hundreds of thousands of students who protest Beijing residents and also ended a week. Although the government announced the Emergency Law on May 20, 1989, the demonstrations continued. After the Communist leaders to negotiate out orders to use military force to solve the crisis, and Zhao Ziyang was kicked from his position as political leaders for failing to prevent student actions. Then the Communist Party decided to stop the situation before it develops further. Soldiers and tanks from the brigade and 27 and 28 of the People's Liberation Army were sent to control the city. These troops were attacked by the workers and Chinese students in the streets of Beijing and the violence that followed resulted in deaths among civilians and military. The Chinese government admitted that several hundred people died in this incident. The figures estimate civilian casualties vary: 400-800 (CIA), and 2600 (Chinese Red Cross). The student protesters claimed that more than 7,000 people were killed. After this violence, the government made arrests everywhere to suppress the remnants of the movement supporting it. The government restricts access and control the foreign press coverage of news events in mainland China.
