A Silent Tsunami againts food Security

"A SILENT TSUNAMI WHICH KNOW NO BORDER IS SWEEPING THE WORLD"
The causes of the global crisis are complex and the impact of food price rises on those who are alredy living on the edge of poeverty thresholds can be catastrophic. Food is literally being taken out of the mouths of children, as parents can no longer afford fo feed them. They buy less food pf food which isn't nutrition. Often, they cut out more expensive food (meat, fruit and vegetable) and only eat basic staples like rice or maize.
"Even temporally depriving children of the nutrient they need to grow and thrive can leave permanent scars in therm of stunting thier physical growth and intelectual potential," This is not just about ensuring that people have enough food to fill their stomachs, it's about ensuring that this generation of children is given the oppurtunity to grow and learn properly so that they can get out of the poverty trap.
Food insecurity is one of the main underlying causes of malnutrition. To addres hunger and malnutrition, there is a pressing need for major stakeholders to make convergent effort towards the improvement of people's access to adquate quantity and quality of food. The right to food is one of the fundamental human rights and protcts the right of all human beings to live in dignity free from hunger. "IN A WORLD OVERFLOWING WITH RICHES, HUNGER IS NOT INEVITABLE".
