THE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM MAKES POSSIBLE REPRODUCTION OF ALL LIVING ORGANISMS AND IN LONG STRIP RUNS NATURAL ADAPTION OF SPECIES TO ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGES. REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH DEALS WITH REPRODUCTIVE PROCESSES, FUNCTION AND SYSTEM AT ALL STAGES OF HUMAN LIFE.
Sexsual organs are part of the reproductive system. Sexually transmitted infection (STIs) can affect reproductive organs, fuction and system. STIs are various diseases which are transmitted by having sex (oral, anal or vaginal). STIs are also called 'venereal diseases'. Examples include: Gonorrhea, Syphilis, Clamidia, Herpes, Hepaptitis and AIDS. Some of them (e.g. Gonorrhea and syphilis) might present clinical symptoms in sexual organs that could disappear without treatment, but it does not mean that the disease is cured. Some STIs (e.g. Hepatitis, AIDS) affect other internal organs. Be careful: even one single sexual intercourse with infected person can cause STIs transmission.
Both men and women are concerned by STIs, but women have a higher risk or being infected. In women, STIs could destroy endomentrium or vaginal cervic. Diseases may sometimes exist without noticable infection signs. In men, usually the first infected organ is urethra. Most of STIs can be completely cured, but viral STIs are still difficult to treat. STIs incompletely treated can develop many potential complications, such as infertility, ectopic pregnancy, preterm delivey, fetal abnormalities and possible infant infection. Keep in mind that STIs patient are in higher risk of being infected by HIV and AIDS.
Prevention
In order to protect yourself from STIs, use condoms (Protected sex). Stay faihful to your long term patner and avoid changing them frequently. Do not accept untested blood. Do not share with other people needle and syringes, shaving blades or other poorly sterilized cosmetic and barber instruments or tools (e.g. for pedicure, manicure).
STIs cannot be prevented by taking a shower or cleaning genitals after sexual contact!
